On the 1st September Red Diamond will be the new bus operator for the 175,177,178 and 179, the 50a service remains the same, copies of the new timetables are availiable from the Parish Council Office or by going online at www.worcestershire.gov.uk.

Application forms are availiable at the Parish Office for residents of Worcestershire who meet a list of criteria. Once filled in the form should be returned to Bromsgrove District Council.

GREAT NEWS FOR WYTHALL!
From Saturday 20th December Wythall Train Station will be having more trains and fast trains on Saturdays.
The extra trains will operate a new fast service south of Shirley calling only at Wythall, Henley in Arden and Stratford on Avon - supplementing the existing all-stations trains.
The two trains per hour service entails a new Saturday Timetable:
Northbound trains will depart Wythall towards Birmingham at 7.29,8.15,8.56,9.20 (fast), 9.56 and then at 20 mins (fast) & 56 mins past each hour until the evening peak.
Southbound trains will depart Wythall towards Stratford on Avon at 7.46,8.16,8.49 (fast) and 9.12 then at 49 mins (fast) and 12 mins past each hour through the day. Timetable also avaliable via www.londonmidland.com/index.php/timetables/page
These enhancements have been sought for many years by the voluntary Shakespeare Line Promotion Group. Who are also seeking a similar week-day service improvement and an essential new car park for Wythall Staion.

WORKWISE SCHEME
The workwise scheme offers individuals transport solutions for Worcestershire residents wanting to access employment and training opportunities but who are unable to do so because they do not have access to suitable transport. The scheme includes personalized travel planning and moped loans at cost of £5 a week for up to 12 months. Those who believe the scheme may be able to benefit them must be 16 years or over, live in Worcestershire and have no other suitable means of transport availiable. The Workwise scheme also provides Compulsory Basic Training (required by law), safety equipment, insurance of the vehicle, 24 hr breakdown cover and full maintenance and servicing. There are now 50 mopeds for Worcestershire residents that are issued on a first come first serve basis for those who meet the eligibility criteria. Employers who have difficulty recruiting employees due to their rural location can also contact the scheme for advice and possible financial assistance.
