HIGHWAYS

Schemes undertaken this year include:
Resurfacing Drakes Cross area, various tree and hedge works, lining and signing Tanners Green Lane, traffic management/speed scheme an also substantial resurfacing for Majors Green. Drainage works on Houndsfield Lane, Watery Lane and Middle Lan
e to be done.


PACT

THE DATE FOR THE NEXT PACT MEETING IS 26 JANUARY 2009.  THE PACT MEETING IS HELD AT WOODRUSH SCHOOL COMMENCING AT 7.30. PLEASE COME ALONG AND RAISE ANY ISSUES REGARDING YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY.

PACT MEETING 14 JANUARY 2008

Over a hundred residents attended the meeting.  Sgt Tim Harper reported that the Wythall PACT is the best supported in the West Mercia area which is due to the residents who attend the meetings.
Priorities raised were the state of footpaths,roads and drainage in the area and parking outside Meadow Green School.

PACT MEETING 14TH APRIL 2008

Around one hundred and thirty residents attended the meeting. The three priorities from the meeting were the markings and signage at Wythall Island, speeding on Hollywood Lane and Silver Street and the road surface on May Lane.  Residents who want to report anti-social behaviour can call the police on the following number: 08457 444888.

PACT MEETING 22ND SEPTEMBER

More than one hundred and forty residents attended the meeting.  The following concerns were voted for as priorities, a pedestrian crossing at Wythall Island to Becketts Farm Shop, the need for a bus shelter at the junction of Hollywood Lane/Shawhurst Lane/Trueman`s Heath Lane and concerns regarding misleading speed signs in Trueman`s Heath Lane.  The local policing team are also looking into reports of boy racers using a circuit from the Alcester Road,Packhorse Lane and the bypass.

AGE CONCERN

Age concern are looking for very special individuals who have a caring nature, with compassion and life experience in abundance and who are discret,sensitive and sociable and who have a little time to spare.  If you feel you could offer some time as a volunteer Befriender or Sitter, please contact Sue Wilkes at Age Concern Bromsgrove & District  on 01527 871840.
